RIBEIRA DO PORTO

The Ribeira (a bank of the Douro river) is one of the oldest and most typical parts of the city of Oporto. It is part of the historical centre of Oporto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is an area that is very frequented by tourists and the site of a large concentration of terraces, bars, and restaurants. With narrow streets, shady arcades, typical houses with coloured façades from a Bygone Era, it has great views of the Cais de Gaia. Bustling with activity both during day and night, the Cais da Ribeira has a unique atmosphere filled with history, tradition and beauty.
